Takane quartz clock movements are made in the U.S.A and are very well made. they do not make a loud ticking noise. You can also easily remove the battery cover to replace/install a 1.5v AA alkaline battery.

About Me and GigaClocks
I’ve been working with computers since the mid-90s, and over the years, I’ve collected a mountain of non-working components, especially hard drives. I used to take them apart and display the shiny platters on my shelf, but they mostly gathered dust and occasionally toppled over.
One day, it clicked: why not turn them into clocks?
The idea itself wasn’t new, but I wanted to do it better — make something clean, upright, and protected, while still grabbing attention from across the room. My goal was to highlight the beauty of these once hard-working drives while giving them a new purpose
Hard drives are disappearing
Times are changing. Mechanical hard drives are slowly disappearing as solid-state technology takes over. Most people have already destroyed or recycled them, and before long, they’ll be a rarity. I won’t miss the clicking and whirring sounds of a drive on its last legs, but I’ll always appreciate the mirrored perfection of those spinning platters.
When people see one of my GigaClocks, I want them to imagine the billions of bits of data that once lived on those reflective discs — the digital heartbeat of a past era.

Is there any instructions for cleaning?
Normally there won’t be any cleaning needed. If you feel you need to, I have provided an instruction sheet inside your GigaClock package.
Do you do customizations?
I do make custom orders. Please contact me before your purchase to discuss what you would like to get done.
What is the size of your GigaClock?
Each GigaClock is standard 5 x 7 frame and measures 8″ x 6″. It is about 2.5″ deep and weighs about 3 lbs.
Can I get rush delivery?
Yes. Please contact me to make arrangements.
Do you include batteries?
We do not at this time. Uses any Akaline AA size 1.5v battery.
What happens if my GigaClock arrives damaged?
This does not happen very often, but if it does…
Please take pictures of the package and how it arrived. Also, take pictures of all the damage you see. Contact me as soon as you can.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
I have a 90 Day Return/Exchange Policy on our GigaClocks, if the product stops working within that time period. If you would like to return or exchange your product because you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me within the 90 Day period.
